Netscape Navigator

Netscape Navigator died on March 1, 2008, when support ended. It was 13, and had been the internet, for a while, to most people.

It lost a war it had not known it was in, to a rival that came free with the computer.

Before it went, it handed its code to strangers, who named the child Firefox.

That is the best thing anyone in this hall did on the way out.
