For a few years it was how the world got online. For the rest, it was how the world downloaded something else.

Web developers who knew it professionally declined to comment, at length.

It is survived by Edge, which wears its old jacket and insists it is a different person.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you stop testing for it.
