DALL·E 2 (API)

DALL·E 2 was removed from the API on May 12, 2026, together with its younger sibling, DALL·E 3.

For many people it was the first image model they ever saw, and it could not spell.

Its replacements are called gpt-image, which is accurate and nothing else.

Its pictures outlived it, as pictures do.
