Codex (the 2021 API)

Codex, the model that turned English into code, was retired from the API on March 23, 2023. It was 19 months old.

It was free at first, which explains the crowd at the service.

Its children write code for a living now, and most of them have never heard of it.

Its name was later given to a different product. In this business that counts as a memorial.
