REST IN PRINT — THE HALL OF THE DEAD

KINECT
2010-11-04 – 2017-10-25
Microsoft

Kinect died on October 25, 2017, when manufacturing ended. It was six.

It could see you, hear you and count your steps, and for a while it was the fastest-selling gadget anyone had measured.

Then people sat back down.

Its eyes went on to work in hospitals and labs, where nobody has to dance.

In lieu of flowers, wave at the screen.
