REST IN PRINT — THE HALL OF THE DEAD

GOOGLE PLAY MUSIC
2011-11-16 – 2020-12-03
Google

Google Play Music died on December 3, 2020, after a switch-off that took four months. It was nine.

It let people upload their own music collection, an idea that now sounds like a historical reenactment.

Its library was handed to YouTube Music with a transfer tool and a deadline, and the deadline was enforced.

Whatever was left was deleted in February 2021, quietly, as is the custom.

In lieu of flowers, check whether your uploads made it.
