REST IN PRINT — THE HALL OF THE DEAD

CORTANA (WINDOWS APP)
2014 – 2023-08
Microsoft

Cortana stopped being supported as a standalone Windows app in August 2023. It was nine.

It was named after a character in a video game and then asked to schedule meetings.

It was replaced by Copilot, which can do more and is asked to do it far more often.

It lingers in a few corners of Outlook and Teams, where nobody has told it.

In lieu of flowers, say its name once, to an empty room.
